How a Woman I Love Takes Care of Me

By Asia Monet Brown
5th grade, Northwood Appold Community Academy (NACA)

The woman who takes care of me is my mother, June T. Brown.

I have an illness that causes me to have to take medicine by I.V. every two months at University Hospital. She gets me to those appointments, and she makes that day a great one. We watch movies, have a nice lunch and play games. Since I don’t like needles, she puts on a cream to numb my arm.

My mom gives me all the things I need. I have dinner every night, a nice bed, and I am always clean. She always makes sure I take my many medicines, and she does not let me slack in school.

I really love her, and she loves me, too. It shows in her actions. When I am sick, she gives me soup and tea to help me feel better. When I grow up, I will take care of her like she takes care of me. I will use her as an example with my children. Hopefully, they will love me as much as I love her.

As big as my dreams are, she still helps me to make them happen. She is the best role model you ever want to see. She is the most loving person in the world and the best mother in the world. I am glad to have her as my mother. She will never stop loving me, and I will never stop loving her.
